Policies
Cancellations
POLICY: If you cancel within 24hrs of your appointment, you will be required to pay 50% of the service you booked for.
We completely understand things pop up & rescheduling or cancelling appointments is the only option, all we ask is that we are given 24hrs notice from the time of your appointment. Often appointments are 2-4 hrs long and that's a lot of time to fill in. In order to fill your spot, we need a notice so we can call clients who are on the cancellation/wait list who may need to shuffle their schedule to make things work.
Late Pick Up
POLICY: Pets must be picked up within 1 hour of receiving a "ready for pickup" call or text. Otherwise we have to charge you $1/Minute.
We do not have a daycare license or capacity to watch your dog longer than the given time.
Our schedule is booked meticulously because we take on a lot of animals with complex and/or specific needs. Sometime we might have a dog-reactive dog, an animal w/aggression history, an animal w/anxiety or a physically disabled animal come into our care.
Late Drop Off
POLICY: We offer a 15 minute grace period from the time of your appointment for Grooming and bath appointments. After 15mins we will need to reschedule your appointment.
Late drop puts pressure on staff to "work faster" but when you're working with animals and sharp equipment this isn't safe nor possible. This also means we run late for subsequent clients and that simply is not fair.
NO SHOWS
POLICY: You will be required to pre-pay 50% of your grooming rate at the time of booking your next appointment if you have history of recurring no shows or last minute cancelations.
Regardless of the "why" you didn't show, we still had staff turn up for you and their time is valuable. Just because the groom didn't take place doesn't mean costs stop for us. Like paying wages, rent, rates, taxes, salon fees, ect. It is normal for service based industries to charge even if you don't show up. Ask, would you do this to your dentist, physio, hairdresser, ect.

We take the mess out of bath time by offering both on-site professional grooming services by appointment; or use City Dog's unique, state-of-the-art self-service tubs and grooming stations for do-it yourself bathing.
With premium shampoos and grooming tools all included. A very welcoming staff to help with any questions and guidance on how to use anything we provide.
Includes use of our Blueberry facial, Ear cleaner, Premium Sprays, Brushes & Drying tables.

The only place I like to take my dog to do a self wash. City Dog is clean and carries the best dog food, Acana, and the staff is always friendly. I live nearby so parking is not an issue for me, but I like to go mid-day or after a beach trip to bathe my dog. They have three tubs, all different heights which is hard to find, and they have a spray hose that hangs above that truly helps conserve water while you are sudsing away. They supply clean towels at your disposal and everything is labeled properly, so cleaning up is easy. They offer Shampoo and conditioner, but I always bring my own.
